MLB Best Bets: 4/1
It's April, Fools!
It’s Saturday and after a dumb little five-game TEASE yesterday, we are back to a full 15-game card today with games spread out all the way from 2 PM to 10 PM tonight. Now that’s more like it!
Yesterday was the first losing day of the year, but those are going to happen and the good news was that after I did the math, I am still up overall through two days. I like today’s games A LOT more than yesterday’s as there are so many more spots to choose from and I can be more discriminating with my picks.
I tried not to go overboard today, though, I am not forcing anything. I ended up with 3 straight bets, 4 pitcher props, 3 hitter props, and 2 HR props. Let’s do the daily recap from Friday and then we’ll get to today’s best bets.
March 31 Recap
Included here are straight bets and props, just not HR props (though we hit one last night!) as they are not being graded on the star system.
3 Star Bets: 1-2
2 Star Bets: 2-1
1 Star Bets: 0-1
ML Parlay: 0-1
David Peterson didn’t have his best stuff and still came up only one strikeout short. Robbie Ray walked five guys and was all over the place, turning in a disappointing outing. All three props that did hit were at +100, so we only lose two units overall if you were betting one unit on each of the 8 recommended bets.
Overall 3/31: 3-5, -2 Units
Season-to-date: 14-12, +0.96 Units
3 Star: 4-4, 2 Star: 8-2, 1 Star: 2-4, ML Parlay: 0-2
