MLB Best Bets: Friday, 4/21
It's Getting Hot in Here...
Hey there, baseball fans and bettors, and welcome back. Yesterday was kind of a day off from baseball and I tried to focus on some basketball. I still ended up doing much better on baseball as both of my pitching props hit and Pete Alonso came through with a HR off Manaea just as I had predicted!
I can’t count those hits on the official record, but I will start off with a quick recap of Wednesday’s bets to make sure we are up to speed.
Let me just say this - if you have a question about ANYTHING surrounding specific bets each day or types of bets or bankroll management - please don’t hesitate to ask! I had some really good questions lately about how I scale bets to units, how to run round robins, what I am looking for in specific types of bets, and more! I enjoy engaging with you and answering these questions so honestly, hit me up any time!
With that said, let’s crush these bets today! I am going to continue with my “more is less” strategy and resist the temptation to toss out 20+ bets when I can instead recommend 12-15 and hopefully hit them at a higher rate!
Wednesday 4/19 Recap
3-star: 4-2, 2-star 5-2, 1-star 0-2, ML Parlay 1-0, HR 0-1
Total: 10-7, +3.11 units
I was really thrilled to hit all four game sides/totals. I was not happy that Trevor Rogers left early with an injury or that Joe Ryan forgot how to strike guys out after a torrid start to the season.
I think I have finally got into the groove, however, of ranking my bets properly as the hit rates for 3 and 2-star plays are really solid and I can live with a 1-star record under .500 for now as long as readers know these are the riskiest bets (therefore half-unit bets each). And even with a 8-22 record on HR props, we are still positive units in that category as well.
Season-to-date through 4/19: 154-143-1, +18.62 Units
3 Star: 57-38, 2 Star: 57-52, 1 Star: 20-24-1, ML Parlay: 12-7, HR: 8-22
