MLB Best Bets: Wed. 7/3
Tough act to follow!
It’s always a good feeling to sweep the bets, and if you’ve noticed the sweeps we have had this year have been when we’ve had between 5-8 bets overall. I feel like that’s the sweet spot for me most of the time.
I know some bettors like to bet volume every night, going with 10-20 bets and hoping to hit at around a 60-70% rate to be profitable long term. But I have been trying to avoid that method lately, especially when some of my best nights this season have been on lower-volume days.
So I am back with more bets today, though I am going a little off my usual script since I have only ONE NRFI that I truly believe in.
Let’s start there, the NRFIs have been so good to us.
It’s Wheeler vs. Imanaga for the NRFI pick, both guys have been solid all season, especially in the first inning.
I’m not hitting Christian Scott’s K prop, but I am backing him and the Mets to beat the Nats. I mentioned the Mets were the top team against lefties yesterday and they promptly struck out 10 times against Herz, but still got to him for five hits and ultimately beat the bullpen for the win.
I am backing Davis Daniel in his second start against the As, and I think the Angels can score early against Estes, who has been largely bad in his time in the majors.
I expect a lot of runs in the other two games as all the pitchers involved have been shaky and are facing good offenses in some good hitting weather.
