Groundhog Day...Again?
I can’t help but think of the classic Bill Murray movie “Groundhog Day” every time it’s actually Groundhog Day. What a great movie, if you haven’t seen it, I am not sure what planet you’re living on, but it’s a good one - and probably on a streaming service somewhere - do yourself a favor and go watch it.
Well, that was a random way to start off today. I took yesterday off with only four games on the docket but went 2-0 on the picks I posted on Twitter. That was solid, especially coming off a 5-2 night on props on Wednesday night, too.
I was on a podcast today that should go up on RotoGrinders here sometime in the next day or two and I was talking with the hosts about all the weird stuff happening in the NBA lately. I mean the Celtics just lost at home last night to the Lakers while L.A. was resting both LeBron James and Anthony Davis. That’s pretty fluky, but just another reason why I don’t mess with big spreads very often and why I have moved away from betting on game outcomes this season and really focused on player props more than ever.
All three of us on the podcast were in agreement on the Super Bowl outcome - which surprised me, I suppose, but also made me feel a bit better about my pick. If you want to get in your bet now, you can still get the Chiefs ML at +100 on DraftKings, which is exactly what I am doing. I’ll post the link to this pod/video when it’s out but we were all in agreement about KC and their experience and playoff form being worth investing here - even against a team as talented at every position as the Niners.

DraftKings Lineup
SGA is the stud to pay up for tonight. Without Jalen Williams on the floor this season he has close to a 40% usage rate and Charlotte plays absolutely zero defense.
I have Chet in there for now, too, mainly as a placeholder as I am not sure if I want both OKC guys or not.

It’s a beautiful slate for props tonight and I have EIGHT that I have vetted for us on this card.
