NBA Daily Dose: Monday 10/24
Models, Bets, Props - You name it!
We are back! The NFL shit show yesterday reminded me how much I have been enjoying basketball this season. I did okay with NFL DFS this week and had a solid betting week, but man, these games have been brutal to watch from an entertainment point of view. And my team (the Steelers) are absolutely terrible and already out of the postseason picture.
Anyway, it’s a spicy 8-game slate tonight in the association and I’m glad to be back at it today with my models, picks, and DFS plays.
If you’re looking for my free article on RotoBaller that has some of (but not ALL of) my favorite bets then here it is! The lines have moved since this morning so my final recommendations might be a little different than my initial picks from around 7:00 AM this morning.
NBA Game Value Model
The two games that really stand out here are Utah-Houston and Minnesota-San Antonio.
DraftKings DFS CORE
Devin Vassell - $5400
Recognize this name? Yep, we have to go there again in cash today as his price still has barely budged despite 41 and 35 DK points in the last two games. It’s a great game environment and if the Spurs can hang in there (they just beat Philly) against the Wolves, he should score well as he’s played 34 minutes in his last two games each.
Lauri Markkanen- $6400
Lordy, Lauri! 47 DK points per game and he’s still only 6400, you simply have to hit the lock button here. He has two straight 50-burgers and gets another great game environment tonight against Houston. He has the green light to fire up as many shots as he wants for this rebuilding team and the length to rack up boards and defensive stats.
Josh Hart- $5600
I am not surprised that coach Billups loves having Hart out there (38 minutes per game so far) because he does all the little things well to help his team win. The Blazers are 3-0 and Hart is averaging 34 DK points per game. He’s an easy 5x floor tonight with a chance at 7-8x if he has a hot shooting night.
